At Thermae Retreat, Energy Work refers to a broad range of therapies that all have a commonality: Frequency. Each of us consists of a physical body capable of thoughts and emotions, but we also have an energetic system that supports and nourishes the physical, emotional and mental. This energetic life force is known in traditional Chinese medicine as qi (pronounced CHEE). In the Judeo-Christian tradition, it is called spirit, and in Ayurvedic medicine it is represented in the doshas. All of our systems are tightly integrated. You cannot treat one without considering the others, so our approach, as always, is holistic.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction, relaxation and healing based on the concept that an unseen life force energy flows through us. Your therapist administers Reiki by “laying on hands.” You’ll feel a wonderful glowing radiance flowing through and around you. Reiki treats you as a whole person: Your body, emotions, mind and spirit. As the treatment winds down, you’ll experience profound relaxation and warm, lovely feelings of peace, security and well being.

ACCESS BARS

60 minutes $99

Lay back and allow yourself to settle into a deep relaxing state. The Access Bars are 32 bars of energy that run through and around your head storing the electromagnetic component of all thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs that you have ever had about anything. You might notice results that include greater mental clarity and motivation, an increase in joy and happiness, and improved manageability of depression and anxious tendencies. Also known to promote deeper relaxation and improved sleep patterns.

HARMONIC REBALANCING

The integration between our emotions and our physical body is obvious to anyone who has gone through a period of great stress. Emotion-altering techniques such as meditation and visualization can actually impact the physical body, triggering its ability to self-heal. The energetic component in all of this is less commonly understood. This is where the expertise of our Energy Work practitioners can add a great benefit to your overall health.

At Thermae, we believe that caring for your energy field should be an integral part of your health and wellness regime, much like getting a dental checkup or a good haircut. We encourage you to visit one of our Energy Work practitioners on a regular basis to clear environmental impurities, release unwanted emotions, clarify your mind, and generally feel a bubbling up of joy. We know that in the physical body, new energy cannot enter unless old energy is released out. We release what no longer serves our highest good and allow the energy that does to enter and integrate.
